A rising leader in nonprofit administration, business, and data strategy, Shuaib B. Ismail thrives in multiple key roles. Since 2022, he has been affiliated with McKinsey & Company, where he serves as a specialist consultant in data strategy and transformation, helping companies leverage data to attract and retain customers. Since 2023, he has also served as a board member for Household Goods Inc., a nonprofit that provides donated furniture and household items to families in need. In this role, Mr. Ismail supports volunteer and donor analytics, assists the volunteer committee, and helps with transporting donated furniture to its recipients.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Ismail completed his higher education in his home country of Nigeria, earning a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Ilorin in 2017. He subsequently worked as a digital strategist for VisaCover in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2017 and as an assistant business manager in cybersecurity and trust services for Asseco Nigeria in Lagos from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, Mr. Ismail immigrated to the United States, where he attended the University of New Hampshire for his graduate studies, earning a master’s degree in business analytics in 2022 while working as a research assistant.

Mr. Ismail holds several certifications, including DAMA-CDMP and Tableau. Beyond his professional work, he has contributed to civic initiatives, serving as an Industry Council member at the University of New Hampshire business school, mentoring students, guest-speaking, and introducing industry professionals to the MSBA program. He has also volunteered with the Volo children’s sports program and served as a board member. In his free time, Mr. Ismail enjoys playing and teaching soccer.

Among the highlights of his career, Mr. Ismail takes pride in making meaningful contributions to others’ lives through Household Goods Inc. and the University of New Hampshire business school, where he has helped students on their professional journeys. He is also gratified by his success at McKinsey & Company, where he has had opportunities to assist leading banks with data-related issues and strategic initiatives.

Looking ahead, Mr. Ismail aims to become a chief data officer at a Fortune 500 company and increase his volunteer work, particularly with organizations that support youth in career-building and navigating corporate environments. Additionally, he aspires to earn a U.S. soccer coaching license.
