Drawing upon 25 years of practiced expertise in academia, Ceana M. Glover has excelled as a department research administrator for her alma mater, The University of Toledo, since 2019. Prior to accepting her most recent position, she served The University of Toledo as a grants analyst from 2018 to 2019, a fiscal specialist I from 2005 to 2015 and an account clerk III from 1998 to 2005. Punctuating her appointments at the university, Ms. Glover also served as a coordinator at Hickory Farms, LLC between 1995 and 2018.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Glover pursued a formal education at the Davis Business College, earning an associate degree in accounting in 1995. She subsequently completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Ashford University in 2017 and was certified as a research administrator by the Society of Research Administrators International in 2020. Most recently, Mr. Glover earned a Master of Education in higher education from The University of Toledo in 2022.
Outside of her primary appointments, Ms. Glover has chaired the professional staff association at The University of Toledo and serves her community as a Sunday school teacher. She states that serving as chair of the professional staff association has been a highlight of her career, as she is responsible for representing all non-union and non-faculty employees to ensure they are kept aware of university policies and procedures. To remain abreast of developments in her areas of practice, she also maintains affiliation with the National Council of University Research Administrators and the Society of Research Administrators International. She attributes her success to her wide scope of expertise and capability to aid The University of Toledo’s research department in developing its programs.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Glover intends to witness the continued growth of her career, particularly in the areas of finance and grant management. Additionally, she aspires to complete a doctoral degree.
