Drawing upon several decades of professional experience, Ted Riddle is a recognized figure in the construction industry. Now retired, he most recently served as a construction superintendent for Great Southwestern Construction, Inc., for six years. During this time, he oversaw a team of 15 workers with whom he traveled across the Midwest to provide power to communities through electrical substations and build wind farms. Prior to this appointment, he was employed by Recon Construction Companies and co-owned a construction company alongside his wife, Linda. Earlier, he received an associate degree in diesel technology and electrical technology from Oklahoma State University in 1961.
Notably, Mr. Riddle has accrued numerous achievements over the course of his career. During the 1970s, he was instrumental in establishing a suicide prevention hotline for farmers in Oklahoma. Furthermore, he is a past president of the Oklahoma chapter of the American Agriculture Movement, during which time he and his fellow farmers drove their tractors to Washington, D.C., to persuade congressmen to raise the prices of farm goods.
Impressively, Mr. Riddle is the co-author of the book, “A True-to-Life Western Story: No Lookin’ Back.” Co-written with his wife, the book was published in 2019 through Page Publishing, Inc. In accounting for his success, he credits his determination and his diligent work ethic.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Riddle intends to continue enjoying his well-deserved retirement. Married to his wife for 23 years, he has two daughters and two grandsons. He lives by the motto, “May the West always be a blessing to you.”
