Sasikanth Nagalla recognized his affinity for numbers from a formative age. After obtaining a master’s degree in mathematics and scientific computing from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur in 2011, he went on to earn a master’s degree in financial engineering from the University of California Los Angeles in 2016. Deciding to apply his mathematics skills to business, he discovered the field of risk management, noting that it has been the perfect fit.

Now bolstered by over a decade of professional experience, Mr. Sasikanth has focused his attention on handling market, credit, payment and insurance risks within the field of risk management, through which he has aided business executives in understanding how to quantify risks in their portfolios, how those risks can be managed and what actions to take to mitigate such risks. A digital asset risk consultant for CLST, he has also served as a risk data scientist for the product risk and strategy team at Stripe and a risk advisor to fintech and digital asset start-up organizations.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sasikanth was a risk modeling analyst for Aon Benfield in India in 2011, as well as a member of the insurance risk analytics team for Swiss Re in 2013. Subsequently, he immigrated to the United States and joined the quantitative risk analytics and portfolio risk management team of Western Asset Management in 2017. He also served as an advisor with 2nd Payer Finance, Inc., in 2018 and as a quantitative risk manager for BlockFi in 2021.

Mr. Sasikanth holds a certification in code artificial intelligence and machine learning from MIT Professional Education, and he is presently pursuing the chartered financial analyst certification. Adjacent to his primary career efforts, he is a finance club moderator for the IIT Bay Area Alumni Association, as well as a volunteer with his local chapter of the ASPCA and a student mentor for the UCLA Alumni Association.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Sasikanth intends to witness the continued growth of his career. Specifically, he aims to help build risk platforms for real-time risk monitoring and promote risk awareness among business leaders in his community.
