After serving 30 years in the United States Air Force, Christopher M. Lantagne desired to contribute to the veteran community in a practical capacity. While serving in the armed forces, he came across various companies that catered to educating veterans on Veterans Administration home loan benefits and mortgage loans. Deciding thereafter to apply his skillset to this endeavor, he joined Aligned Mortgage in San Antonio, Texas, in 2020 as a senior mortgage loan originator. He remained with the company until 2022. Since 2023, Mr. Lantagne has excelled as a senior mortgage loan originator with VLG Mortgage.
Mr. Lantagne originally joined the United States Air Force in 1990, and as time progressed, he accepted increasingly responsible roles across the world. From 2008 to 2012, he served the Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany as the superintendent of the 52nd Medical Group. From there, he returned to the United States, where he was the superintendent of the 1st Special Operations Medical Group at Hurlburt Field, Florida, from 2012 to 2014. For the following year, he was the command chief master sergeant of the 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Thereafter, Mr. Lantagne served as the command chief master sergeant at the Air Force Test Center in Edwards Air Force Base, California, from 2015 to 2018. Prior to retiring from military service in 2020, he was the command chief master sergeant for 502 ABW and Joint Base San Antonio for two years.
Placing emphasis on education, as well, Mr. Lantagne received an associate degree in health services management. He went on to attend Ashford University, from which he received a Bachelor of Arts in business leadership, graduating summa cum laude. Most recently, he graduated summa cum laude from Ashford University with a Master of Arts in organizational management in 2020.
A member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Air Force Sergeants Association, Mr. Lantagne received a myriad of Service Medals from the United States Air Force. In addition, in recognition of his esteemed service in the mortgage industry, he earned the Top Veteran Loan Originator Award from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers in 2022. In the coming years, Mr. Lantagne intends to continue expanding upon his current career path and engage more in his local community.
