As a construction law firm, the firm has represented general contractors, construction managers, design builders, architects and engineers, among other prominent individuals, in matters such as government contract law, construction law and dispute resolution. While serving Huddle Jones, Mr. Jones has played a key role in numerous significant construction projects, such as the renovations of the United States Supreme Court building, the Washington Monument, the Library of Congress, the National Academy of Sciences and the National Institutes of Health medical building.

Impressively, Mr. Jones has litigated myriad construction cases, resulting in successful verdicts with one that was awarded more than $2 million. Recently, he litigated in a case with the Smithsonian National Museum of American History before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, resulting in a verdict in excess of $1.3 million for his client. Demonstrating versatility in his profession, Mr. Jones has also contributed his time and expertise to numerous universities, schools, research facilities, office buildings, condominium buildings, hotels and resorts. He was also involved in construction projects related to Fort Bragg and Fort Knox, the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon renovation, and Johns Hopkins Medical Center, among other projects.

The recipient of a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Washington University in St. Louis in 1985, Mr. Jones has shared his breadth of knowledge to various professional publications, including authoring “The Legal Implications of Construction Scheduling for Owners, Contractors and Subcontractors” and “Construction Contract Changes” through Lorman Education Services in 2004 and 2005, respectively. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

As a testament to his success, Mr. Jones was named a Top Attorney in Maryland between 2013 and 2015, a Best Lawyer in America in Construction Law since 2003, and was recognized for several years by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s premier construction law firms. Most notably, he has received recognition of being in the Top 10% of America’s Most Honored Professionals every year since 2013. In 2017, he was featured in the book “Top Lawyers: The Secrets to Their Success,” published by Worldwide Publishing.
