Possessing a great interest in the law from a formative age, Michael J. Eyre was influenced by his uncle, Donald M. Pach, a lawyer whom he watched in court at the age of 14. Desiring to follow the same path since that time, he pursued formal education at the University of California Irvine, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature in 1982. After completing postgraduate studies in political science at California State University, Long Beach, in 1983, he earned a JD from the Western State College of Law in 1987. Subsequently, Mr. Eyre was admitted to practice law in the State of California and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Since 2009, Mr. Eyre has been the principal owner and attorney with the Law Offices of Michael J. Eyre, located in Long Beach and Lakewood, CA. Prior to commencing his own firm, he was affiliated with such offices as the Law Office of Rice & Rothenberg; Hollins, Schechter, Feinstein & Condas; Veatch, Carlson, Grogan & Nelson; Cone, Chairez & Kassel; and Kaiser, DeBiaso, Palmer & Lopez. Alongside his primary responsibilities in law, Mr. Eyre has also served as a community volunteer and instructor for the shortstop program with the Long Beach Bar Foundation since 2010.
Attributing his success to being passionate about the field and understanding the business of law, Mr. Eyre also credits his focus on being productive. Among the notable highlights of his career, he is proudest of becoming an adjunct professor, working as a mock trial judge and being accepted to the temporary judge program for the Los Angeles Superior Court. He is involved with the American Inns of Court, where he presents at least once per year.
Highlighted in the 71st edition of Who’s Who in America in 2018, Mr. Eyre intends to become a judge in five years’ time. He holds an A/V Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has been recognized by Super Lawyers and boasts a 10.0 Superb Rating through Avvo, Inc.
