Camisha L. Farris is an award-winning entrepreneur in Charlotte, N.C. whose expertise in the flooring industry has earned her the recognition as a leader in her field. Anointed Flooring, Inc. maintains a strong advantage with several government and commercial flooring projects. This strength, coupled with a history of over many successful projects, has made the company the emerging Southeast’s minority woman owned commercial flooring contractor, providing product and installation solutions to government and commercial markets. “Our value comes from a combination of knowledge, performance, durability, fair pricing — and our ability to deliver a quality experience that is built around meticulous details and above and beyond service,” Ms. Farris says, noting that she has been successful by unconditionally abiding by the four core values that she established when she created her company: demonstrating integrity, going beyond the call, providing quality over convenience and upholding the best communication as possible. Ms. Farris’ impressive business background affords her the expertise to execute the company’s overall visionary approach to lead and oversee the implementation of Anointed’s long and short term plans in accordance with their strategy. She demonstrates top skills in both the practical and strategic aspects of her business. Ms. Farris oversees all construction, product development and new software rollouts. She also manages all of its aspects and phases, from planning to deliverables, as well as overseeing all of these elements to ensure that the project has been successfully implemented.

In total, Ms. Farris has amassed nearly 15 years of experience in the flooring industry during which time she has developed a vast amount of experience in construction, distribution channel analysis, marketing, technology research and new product development. She attributes her success to the relationships she has built over the years. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without them,” she says, reflecting on her early years in business. An incredibly talented woman who works harder each day than the day before, Ms. Farris has been honored on many occasions for her accomplishments. Notably, she earned a Rising Business of the Year Award from the City of Charlotte, a Women of Color Achievement Award from the 100 Black Men of Charlotte & Women Presidents’ Organization, a Client of the Year Award from the Women Business Center of North Carolina, a Women in Business Award from the Charlotte Business Journal, a Small Business Big Impact Award from Time Warner Cable Business Class, and a Subcontractor of the Year Award from the Charlotte Construction Coalition.

To support her career, Ms. Farris holds a number of professional certifications and is involved with industry organizations. She is a diplomate of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, a certified Small Business Enterprise in the City of Charlotte, and she is certified in MSDBE, EDWOSB, and WBENC. Ms. Farris has been treasurer of the Metrolina Minority Contractors Association since 2008, a member of the Small Business Advisory Board for Central Piedmont Community College since 2016, and a Bank of America Trainer for DNC Stadium Volunteers since 2012. As she looks toward the next phase of her career, Ms. Farris doesn’t see her journey slowing down. In fact, she is looking forward to taking on new opportunities that will help her to gr ow and evolve her business in the years to come.
