Ann Wilson Hartmann has been in the field of financial services, as an administrator, underwriter, and consultant, for more than 50 years. A certified chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant through the American College of Financial Services, Ms. Wilson Hartmann earned a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State College in 1962. She then obtained a Master of Business Administration in finance from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1975. Upon completing her undergraduate work, Ms. Wilson Hartmann worked as a teacher for the Bloomfield Board of Education. After a brief tenure with the BOE, she served as an administrator for the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Afterward, Ms. Wilson Hartmann worked for YWCA USA as an administrator in Summit, N.J., and as a director in the Northwest Ohio region. She focused her efforts toward racial justice and civil rights, and increasing economic opportunities and improving negative health and safety outcomes for women and girls of color.
Ms. Wilson Hartmann has been a financial planner with Hartmann & Associates since 1980. She has also been on the faculty of Cigna/Lincoln National Education Events since 1984. During her distinguished career, Ms. Wilson Hartmann worked as a senior consultant at Health Systems Group in Ann Arbor, Mich., and director of finance and field personnel for Sycor, Inc. Additionally, she was an adjunct faculty member at Lourdes College and The University of Toledo. Since 1982, Ms. Wilson Hartmann has been the editor of “ Money Talks News.” Active in civic engagement within the community, Ms. Wilson Hartmann has been affiliated with various organizations and associations, including the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, where she currently serves as chair and trustee. Furthermore, she is the chair of Mountclair State University’s Planned Giving Council, and a member of the Toledo Museum of Art’s development committee. For her professional achievements, Ms. Wilson Hartmann has been recognized with a handful of accolades, including: Distinguished Community Woman of the Year from the Girl Scouts of Maumee Valley Council; Kenneth Black Leadership Award from the Society of Financial Service Professionals; Hines Award from the National Board on Child Welfare; and Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner through the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.
A Who’s Who Lifetime Achiever, Ms. Wilson Hartmann has been listed in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
