Ross Utley Robinson has built a distinguished career in industrial relations and consulting over the course of 60 years. On the road to establishing himself as an industry leader, Mr. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science from Colgate University in 1949, a Master of Arts from Wesleyan University in 1951, and a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953.

Since 2002, Mr. Robinson has been an adviser for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, or EPSCoR. He got his start in the field in 1953, as a director of advanced systems for Abbott Laboratories in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Robinson spent 20 years assisting Abbott Laboratories, and then he bounced around several different companies before he settled in at Cardinal Associates in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He spent nearly two decades as president of the biomedical firm. One year after joining NASA, he held a role as technical director for the Norman Economic Development Coalition, from 2003 to 2016, in Oklahoma.

Mr. Robinson’s expertise extends past the workplace. Since 1986, he has provided lectures at the University of New Mexico. He has also served on the member boards of numerous organizations, such as Los Alamos Diagnostics Inc., the New Mexico Biotechnology and Biomedical Association, the Tri-Regional Area for Economic Development of Northern New Mexico, the Oklahoma Renewable Energy Council, the Kirby Institute, Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation and Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The highlight of Mr. Robinson’s career was the Boehringer Mannheim product introduction through the Food and Drug Administration approval for the sensograph for bone growth. In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Robinson received a 2017 Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award and is also listed in the 21st Edition of Who’s Who in the West. In addition, he received the Martin Award for Outstanding Years of Service.
