While studying toward his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University, Kevin Klintworth enjoyed his affiliation with various sports teams on campus, as well as the athletic culture of collaboration, teamwork and encouragement. Graduating from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism, he commenced his career in 1999 at Northern Arizona University, where he served as an assistant athletic director for one year. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to California to join the faculty at San Diego State University, where he excelled as an associate athletic director between 1999 and 2005.

Subsequent to his departure from San Diego State, Mr. Klintworth served as an associate athletic director at the University of California for one year between 2005 and 2006 before ultimately making the decision to return to his alma mater. As such, he was employed by Oklahoma State University in 2006, where he now serves as a senior associate athletic director.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Klintworth is especially proud of his athletes returning to campus 10 years later to acknowledge the resounding impact he had on them during their formative years in college. Mr. Klintworth himself was mentored by retired athletic director Steve Holton, who served Northern Arizona University. During his tenure at the university, Mr. Klintworth was inspired by Mr. Holton, who exemplified everything that he wanted to possess as a leader in his field.

Throughout his career, Mr. Klintworth has sat on several committees and has served as an overseer for Orange & Black Gives Back. He has also served on the public relations advisory committee of the Big 12 Conference since 2018. Decorated with a plethora of accolades for his athletic expertise and contributions to sports publications, he is motivated to continue moving forward in his career by his drive to mentor and guide his student athletes. Looking toward the future, he intends to remain in his current position at Oklahoma State University, where he can experience the continued growth and success of his career.
