After spending 20 years as a military petty officer in the U.S. Navy, Wilfred Zinavage commenced his professional career as a CPR/first aid instructor in Norwich, Connecticut, in 1978. Earning two commendations from the local police department
for his service, he later served as an armed security guard for United Nuclear Co., where he was on the special tactics and response team until 1989. From there, he was a security officer for Foxwoods Resort Casino until his retirement in 2001.

Alongside his primary career responsibilities, Mr. Zinavage served the town of Sprague, Connecticut, as a selectman in 1983 and the Norwich Area Veterans Council as vice president from 1995 to 1996. Since 1995, he has also been the president and founder of BRATCON Co. in Baltic, Connecticut. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Connecticut State University, he is licensed in gaming in the state of Connecticut.

A talented author as well, Mr. Zinavage has written two books, “Deployment” in 1993 and “The Zinavage Legacy” in 2017, a memoir regarding his own life and ancestry. Born to Anna Zinavage on May 31, 1940, in Norwich and he currently resides in Baltic. The proud father of four children, he also has three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, coin collecting, studying history, songwriting, and acting.
