Drawing upon more than three decades of practiced experience in health care law, Richard A. Lovich is a prominent attorney who has been serving the Law Offices of Stephenson, Acquisto & Colman as a senior partner and managing litigation attorney since 2005. Joining the firm as a senior trial counsel on litigated and arbitrated cases involving health care providers seeking reimbursement from network health plans, he is responsible for litigation management and trial readiness of all levels of cases. Prior to this endeavor, he served Lovich & Isaac and Lovich & Penn as a managing attorney between 1991 and 2005, having commenced his career as an assistant managing attorney with Tucker & Lovich from 1986 to 1991. Among the notable highlights of his career, Mr. Lovich cites testifying in front of the Senate Commerce Committee on the impact of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act on the health care industry in 2016 as a crowning achievement. The recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in political science from California State University, Northridge, and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Loyola Marymount University, he has been admitted to practice law in the state of California. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California.
As a testament to his legal prowess, Mr. Lovich has been named in Southern California Super Lawyers every year since 2011 and was honored among the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Council in 2017.
