With a desire to share his love of music with others, and to create music for educational, sacred, and social purposes, Lynn Arthur Koch channeled his passion in to a career as a dedicated music educator. He prepared for his career by obtaining a Bachelor of Music from the State University of New York at Potsdam and a Master of Music from the Westminster Choir College at Rider University. He began his career in 1982 as a vocal music teacher at Trenton City Schools in Trenton, NJ. He then spent the majority of his career as a vocal and instrumental music teacher at Cincinnatus Central School in Cincinnatus, NY, from 1987 to 2016. In addition to his educational appointments, Mr. Koch also continues to perform folk music with KinderFolk Music Productions in Marathon, NY, and he plays the organ and directs the choir at the McGrawville Baptist Church in McGraw, NY.

Civically, Mr. Koch is active in his community through his work with the Cultural Council of Cortland County, where he serves on the music committee, and the Cortland County Council of Churches, where he serves as president and on the board of directors. Mr. Koch considers a highlight of his successful career as being able to perform “Easter Oratorio” for a second time in 2011. He attributes his success to the support of his loving wife, Deborah, his school teachers, Lorene Jones and Robert Lucia, and his college professor, Clive Henery. Looking toward the future, Mr. Koch plans to continue composing, performing, and caring for his family.
