Backed by more than five decades of invaluable experience, Bonnie W. Battey, Ph.D., RN, is known for her expertise in nursing, healthcare education and communications. Since 1985, Dr. Battey has consulted a wide range of organizations via Duldt & Associates, Inc.

Dr. Battey earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Wagner College in 1955. She went on to receive a Master of Science in nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1959 and a Ph.D. from The University of Kansas in 1980. In 1992, Dr. Battey completed postgraduate coursework at the National Center for Nursing Research’s Quantitative Methodology Institute.

A registered nurse in the states of Arkansas, Tennessee, New York, Virginia, North Carolina and California, Dr. Battey formerly served as an adjunct professor at Samuel Merritt University’s School of Nursing (2003-2006). She boasts an exceptional track record in academia, having held professorships at George Mason University (1999-2003), Shenandoah University (1994-1997) and East Carolina University (1984-1994), where she was the assistant dean of the graduate program from 1984 to 1986. Moreover, Dr. Battey’s other notable positions include director of graduate studies at the University of North Dakota’s School of Nursing and chairman of the University of Memphis’ Department of Nursing.

A field researcher and theorist, Dr. Battey is often sought after for her unparalleled knowledge in nursing specialties. Throughout the course of her illustrious career, she has exercised her passion for her profession through several affiliations. She is a member of the American Holistic Nursing Association, American Nurses Association, Inc., and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has passed along her expertise through numerous publications, including computer-assisted introduction programs, communication research tools, book chapters, and articles for professional journals. Additionally, Dr. Battey co-authored “Situational Leadership in Nursing” with Paul Hershey, which was published in 1989 and received Book of the Year honors from the
American Journal of Nursing by Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc.

Recognized for her hard work and many years of dedication, Dr. Battey was selected to represent her state among the best in the country in the fourth edition of Trademark Women of Distinction. Dr. Battey was recently dubbed an Industry Expert by Marquis Who’s Who and is renowned among Who’s Who of Professional of Women. These honors serve as a testament to her significant contributio ns to the healthcare sector.
