Supported by nearly 10 years of professional excellence, Julian G. Kingsley is widely regarded in the field of medicine for his expertise in cardiovascular perfusion. Since 2024, he has excelled as a perfusionist at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he prepares heart and lung machines, organizes pharmacy prescriptions, handles various paperwork and patient charting, and manages cardiovascular support systems such as ECMO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kingsley served as a certified surgical technologist at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, between 2019 and 2022.

Mr. Kingsley’s career has been marked by numerous milestones, including the acquisition of a patent for bayonet surgical scissors in 2021. He has further lent his breadth of knowledge to several publications, including co-authoring “The Use of Protective Mechanical Ventilation During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for the Treatment of Acute Respiratory Failure” in Perfusion/Sage Journals in 2024 and “The Use of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation and Protective Mechanical Ventilation in the Treatment of Acute Respiratory Failure” in the American Heart Journal in 2023, among others.

Mr. Kingsley holds a Master of Science in clinical perfusion from Upstate Medical University, which he earned in 2024. The same year, he received the Jeanne Lange Excellence in Professionalism Award from the acclaimed university. Having formerly obtained a post-baccalaureate certificate in pre-medicine from the University of Southern Maine in 2021, he also received a diploma in surgical technology from the Maine Medical Center School of Surgical Technology in 2019. Mr. Kingsley commenced his scholarly ventures with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of New England, which he earned in 2015. Furthermore, he is a licensed perfusionist through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Perfusionists and a certified clinical perfusionist through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Kingsley is particularly proud of serving as the perfusionist for the second-ever pig heart transplant at the University of Maryland. In accounting for his success, he credits the strong support of his wife, Colleen, and two children, Jonah and Jacqueline. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing the drums, fishing and spending quality time with his family. Looking ahead, Mr. Kingsley aims to continue advancing heart failure treatment across the nation and developing his skills as a licensed perfusionist.
