An emeritus partner of Southern California Permanente Medical Group, an affiliate of Kaiser Permanente, Sidney M. Glazer utilizes more than 40 years of professional experience to continue to excel in the health care sector. Prior to his retirement in 2007, Dr. Glazer was the lead physician of the Hemodialysis Access CQI Committee of the medical group. An expert physician in general vascular surgery and hemodialysis access, Dr. Glazer’s beginnings in the medical arena trace back to his educational roots. In 1970, Dr. Glazer earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to receive an MD from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine in 1974. Dr. Glazer completed an internship in surgery at the Los Angeles County General Hospital, which was followed by the completion of general surgery residencies at Good Samaritan Hospital and Kaiser Foundation Hospital Los Angeles. In 1981, he completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at St. Mary Medical Center.

Since entering the health care profession, Dr. Glazer has contributed several articles to professional journals and publications. He further exercised his passion for his career through his role as president of the Orange County Surgical Society from 2001 to 2002. Today, Dr. Glazer serves as a clinical associate professor of surgery at the University of California in Irvine. He has held this post since 2006. Dr. Glazer is certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Inc. He is also a diplomate of the Medical Board of California.

In recognition of his significant contributions to his profession, Dr. Glazer has received several awards and accolades, including the Physicians’ Exceptional Contribution Award from Kaiser Permanente in 1997. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Physician of Excellence award though Orange County Medical Association. Moreover, he has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who publications, such as Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World.
