After three fulfilling decades of service with the military, Col. Danny G. Sprouse retired from the United States Air Force in 2002 at the rank of colonel. Initially joining the United States Air Force in 1972, he served in a myriad of leadership positions, particularly focused on the fields of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as well as logistics and aircraft maintenance. Likewise, Mr. Sprouse assisted in critical command and control operations with the Strategic Air Command and the National Airborne Operations Center. Serving as a squadron commander on two occasions, he also served as a deputy commander for maintenance and twice excelled as a deputy logistics group commander. Additionally, he coordinated the deployment of component aircraft and personnel for Operation Desert Thunder and Operation Desert Fox in the late 1990s. Before settling into his military retirement, Mr. Sprouse thrived as the chief of the inspection and assessment division at the Air Force Materiel Command.

Following his departure from the armed forces, Mr. Sprouse joined the team at P E Systems, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, in 2002 as an acquisitions manager. Over the course of his tenure with the company, he also served as vice president in 2011 and as the KC-46 Tanker program lead until his full retirement from his vocation in 2015. Notably, during this time, Mr. Sprouse leveraged his position to lend his assistance to the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Civically involved in his community, Mr. Sprouse worked closely with the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish to develop and implement fundraising activities over a period of nine years, thereby raising more than $100,000 to pay off the parish’s debt. A member of the parish for more than 20 years, he also serves as a lay minister in his spare time. Moreover, Mr. Sprouse was a board chairperson for the Walnut Creek Homeowner’s Association for 14 years.

Before embarking on his career, Mr. Sprouse attained a higher education, receiving a Bachelor of Science in agricultural education from South Dakota State University in 1972. While active in the military, he continued his studies at the University of Southern California, receiving a Master of Science in systems management in 1980. Subsequently, Mr. Sprouse completed coursework in several areas at such prestigious institutions as the Air War College, Columbia University and the Air Force Institute of Technology.

To attest to his resounding success in the field, Mr. Sprouse has received several commendations, military decorations and accolades. In 2006, P E Systems, Inc. honored him with the Leadership Award. He previously earned an assortment of military achievement and service medals in light of his longstanding tenure in the United States Air Force. Mr. Sprouse is a life member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Military Officers Association of America, the Air and Space Force Association, and the Air Force Logistics Officer Association.
