Thomas Henry Magee is a medical professional who has met with success over the last 26 years by putting his passion and best effort into every opportunity he has encountered. As a radiologist, he demonstrates top skills in medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, fusion imaging and ultrasound. Throughout his career, he has worked as a radiologist for a variety of prominent medical facilities, including the University of Miami (UM), the Menorah Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. His expertise in radiology has earned Dr. Magee professional opportunities in the academic realm. Since 2006, he has been a clinical professor of radiology at UM. Previously, he taught as an assistant professor of medicine at the Kansas University School of Medicine, an assistant professor of radiology at the University of Missouri and an assistant professor of medicine at the Uniformed Service School of Medicine in Bethesda, Md. In a recent interview, Dr. Magee noted that working as an educator has been a gratifying experience, as he has been able to act as a mentor to emerging professionals in the medical field.

Highly regarded in his field for his professionalism, experience and skill set, Dr. Magee is distinguished as a diplomate and board examiner for the American Board of Radiology, the nationally recognized physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing  professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology and medical physics. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Magee remains in his position as a reputable professional in his field through his additional endeavors with the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the Kansas City Roentgen Ray Society and the International Skeletal Society. He also contributes articles and papers to radiology publications and journals, including the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography and the American Journal of Roentgenology.

In recognition of his more than two-and-a-half decades of excellence, Dr. Magee has been on the receiving end of a number of accolades. Notably, he earned a certificate of merit from the Radiological Society of North America, the Jonas N. Muller Award from New York Medical College and, most recently, an NIH/NCAI Award. To prepare for his exceptional career, Dr. Magee received a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University in 1981. He subsequently  attended New York Medical College and obtained a Doctor of Medicine in 1986. Considered an expert in his field, Dr. Magee intends to continue in his tremendous work as a radiologist and educator.
