Robin and Linda Williams are prolific professional musicians with specializations in country, folk and bluegrass music. The Williamses have excelled in the musical arena since 1973 as band leaders, songwriters and recording artists with thousands of personal performances and 24 albums and CDs to their credit. Additionally, for over three decades, they served as members of the Hopeful Gospel Quartet, with whom they recorded two CDs.

Impressively, the Williamses have made appearances at iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Ryman Auditorium and Radio City Music Hall, as well as on such major radio and television programs as “The Grand Ole Opry,” “Austin City Limits,” “Mountain Stage” and Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” on which they appeared hundreds of times. They were also prominently featured in the motion picture “A Prairie Home Companion,” directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Robert Altman.

As gifted songwriters, the Williamses have earned a rare honor: the devotion and deep respect of their musical peers. The list of artists who have covered their original songs includes some of the greats of country and bluegrass music, such as Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, George Hamilton IV, Tim and Mollie O’Brien, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea and The Seldom Scene.

The Williamses’ recordings have consistently received positive reviews and audience acceptance. Their gospel CD “Good News” garnered two nominations for Gospel Album of the Year. Their CDs “Sugar for Sugar” and “Company of Strangers” spent over 15 weeks on the Americana charts. “Visions of Love,” produced by Garrison Keillor, received rave reviews from national publications, including a four-star review in USA Today. Their 2021 release, “A Better Day A-Coming,” ended the year in the top 10 of the Folk Alliance International Radio Charts, with their single of the same name ending as the #3 top song of 2021. The Williamses ranked #13 on the list of top artists. The CD also generated a popular music video, “The Old Lovers Waltz,” which received thousands of views into five figures.

In the coming years, the Williamses intend to remain connected to their musical roots by writing and performing. They ultimately intend to produce and perform many more recordings in 2024 and beyond.
