For nearly five decades, William J. Wade has been assisting the law industry with his strong expertise, hard work and determination. Since 1970, he has served as an attorney for Crenshaw Dupree & Milam Law Firm, L.L.P. Based in Lubbock, Texas, the firm offers legal services in a multitude of areas, including bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, commercial litigation, corporate representation, estate planning, family law and more. Mr. Wade focuses his practice on governmental liability and general litigation, as well as personal injury, wrongful death and employer liability. Prior to his current role, he served as the Assistant District Attorney for the 47th Judicial District of Amarillo, Texas. A position he held from 1968 to 1970. Notably, since 2015, Mr. Wade has served as an emeritus fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and emeritus master of Texas Tech University School of Law.
An active participant in his field, Mr. Wade served as the Texas president and diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2009. He also served as director at large for TADC, Inc., member of the Texas Judicial Branch’s Supreme Court Advisory Committee, director of the alumni association for The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, and president of the Lubbock Area Bar Association. Today, Mr. Wade is a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Passionate about his community, Mr. Wade formerly served as president of Texas Tech University’s Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library, as well as the Well Baby Clinic in Lubbock.
Recognized as an AV® Preeminent™ Rated Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell®, as well as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2005, Mr. Wade earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Texas Tech University in 1963 and a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1966. Furthermore, he has been listed in multiple editions of Marquis Who’s Who in American Law.
