Drawing upon five decades of professional experience, David E. Armstrong is recognized extensively in the field of insurance. Since 2005, he has served as the vice president of AXIS Track Report and Commercial Insurance Associates LLC, located in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to obtaining his current appointment, he served as the vice president of Willis Corroon South in Nashville from 1976 to 2005 and a bond underwriter for Aetna Casualty and Surety Company from 1973 to 1976. Additionally, Mr. Armstrong served as a track laborer for a private railroad contractor and worked for Hunter Information Services in Nashville for 21 years.

To prepare for his career and supplement his career experience, Mr. Armstrong pursued a formal education. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in business administration and management from Delta State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and finance from the University of Memphis. Additionally, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Outside of his primary vocation, Mr. Armstrong served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969, retiring at the rank of sergeant E-5.

Impressively, Mr. Armstrong was instrumental in establishing the AXIS Track Report service in 2011. He also founded the very first rail industry-focused project announcement service in 2002. A member of the National Railroad Construction Management Association, he previously served the organization on its board for 10 years and was a chairman of their safety committee, through which he wrote 52 weekly safety talks. Furthermore, Mr. Armstrong has been a member of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association.

In recognition of his esteemed military service, Mr. Armstrong received a Medal of Honor and a Vietnam Service Medal. Likewise, in honor of his career endeavors, he was named Member of the Year in 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and coaching youth baseball and basketball. Looking forward to the future, he aims to remain in his present role until he is ready for a well-deserved retirement.
