After several years, he immigrated to the United States and enrolled at the esteemed Columbia University, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Thereafter, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in periodontology, oral microbiology and molecular biology prior to embarking on his career in the United States.
After earning his doctorate, Dr. Mohammadi endeavored to establish his own dental practice and subsequently founded Columbia Dental. In the initial stages, he diligently worked seven days per week to expand his practice, cultivate his patient base and enhance his professional reputation, often attending to numerous patients outside regular hours.
