Since 1986, Jeanine Marie Herzeg has thrived as a senior property tax analyst and administrator at the law firm of Sarnoff Property Tax in Chicago, Illinois. Specializing in real estate tax representation, she collaborates extensively with the National Association of Property Tax Attorneys to handle property representation in other U.S. states through the organization’s team of attorneys. With expertise in financial analysis and technical writing, Ms. Herzeg also maintains responsibility for analyzing briefs for appeals at administrative levels and preparing documents for attorney approval. She has also handled bookkeeping, analysis and drafting duties, and editing the firm’s publications.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Herzeg graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and music from Mundelein College in 1985. The following year, she underwent coursework toward a law degree at the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. After accruing years in her field, Ms. Herzeg returned to higher education, obtaining a Master of Arts in liberal studies from Loyola University Chicago in 1996. She has also completed a vast array of professional courses through organizations such as the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Now accruing over four decades of professional expertise, Ms. Herzeg is committed to witnessing the further growth and expansion of Sarnoff Property Tax. She also aims to write for other publications, expanding upon her breadth of knowledge in technical writing and analysis. Although she has experienced several career highlights, she is especially proud of working with the firm’s founding principal on an industrial incentive for real estate, which redefined industrial properties for Cook County, Illinois, encompassing manufacturing, research and development.
