Carlos Bruno Valrand is recognized as the owner of Dramtes Enterprises. Since 2013, he has stood at the helm of the publishing company, which showcases the work of storytellers, intellectuals and innovators. Notably, the company publishes both fiction and nonfiction work in several formats, having also authored Mr. Valrand’s book “The Site,” a science fiction thriller, in 2021. He is currently in the final stages of completing his second book, “An Effect Like Magic,” whose publication date is forthcoming. In addition to his tenure in publishing, Mr. Valrand has served as a director of the Internet Looks website. Looking forward, Mr. Valrand endeavors to continue publishing creative works through Dramtes Enterprises, drawing upon his intrinsic, formative love for writing.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Valrand served extensively in finance and engineering. From 2012 to 2013, he was an associate at World Financial Group, where he accrued valuable knowledge in finance, annuities and insurance. Prior to this appointment, he boasted an extensive career in the engineering and aerospace sectors beginning in the 1960s while a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, having worked as a draftsman at Robert and Company. Thereafter, he served with Boeing in Renton, Washington, participating in the preliminary design of the 757 and 767 aircraft. Thereafter, he was an aerodynamicist on the C-5A and C-130 aircraft at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia, and was also a member of the C-5A flight test team.

Mr. Valrand served with TRW Systems between 1970 and 1976, initially working in Houston on NASA Space Shuttle research contracts. He was notable for conducting aerodynamic analyses and developing Shuttle mission simulations and guidance algorithms. He also worked on Army Missile Defense Agency contracts in Huntsville, Alabama, and developed PERCAM, a reconfigurable war game program that supported Project Successor/Nachfolger Patriot missile system military evaluations.

From 1976 to 1993, Mr. Valrand worked on flight software requirements analysis and verification for the Space Shuttle and Space Station Freedom programs at IBM Federal Systems Division, where he further managed a department responsible for Shuttle software performance verification. At IBM, he was a software architect for NASA’s Shuttle mission reconfiguration management system and a senior engineer, where his responsibilities included leading projects for the Space Station data management system. He was also critical in proposal preparation for the Strategic Defense Initiative National Test Bed Simulator Air Force contract.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Valrand was employed by GB Tech as a senior engineer, leading the development of the International Space Station Command and Control Software Requirements Specification between 1996 and 2000. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2011, he was an engineering staff VI for the United Space Alliance Space Shuttle operations contract, conducting Space Shuttle flight software verification and mission analyses. Impressively, he provided real-time operations support at NASA’s Mission Control Center. He departed from the aerospace industry in 2012 following four decades of dedicated service.
