Possessing more than 20 years of professional experience, Jeremy J. Herr is a proven expert in the field of manufacturing. Since 2023, he has excelled as a supervisor of tooling at Viega LLC, a machine technology business. In his position, he maintains responsibility for inspecting tools to find defects that may affect production, performing strategic planning for priority tasks, working alongside fellow managers to promote leadership development, and providing guidance and mentorship to his team.
First joining Viega LLC in the early 2000s, Mr. Herr first served as a process technician for one year, then was promoted to line operator in 2003. From 2005 to 2011, he worked as a machinist, and from 2011 to 2016, he served as a maintenance technician. Alongside his current position, he has also thrived as a senior tooling technician since 2016. In addition, while pursuing his illustrious career, he worked as a mechanic for 1151 Refrigeration Systems in the United States Marine Corps Reserve between 2009 and 2017, receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the military.
Moreover, amid his career ambitions, Mr. Herr underwent formal education. In 2009, he graduated from Hutchinson Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in machine tool technology. Impressively, he was listed on Hutchinson Community College’s Honor Roll and was inducted into the Dean’s List four times. Currently, he is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in organizational leadership, with a concentration on project management, from Arizona State University.
Although he has experienced a myriad of career highlights, Mr. Herr is particularly proud of being accepted into the inclusion committee at Viega LLC, through which he has recruited more women employees into the company. He is also gratified by the opportunities presented to him to mentor others in building their own skill sets and performing their jobs effectively.
Mr. Herr derives inspiration from his father, who taught Mr. Herr how to perform at his best regardless of the professional atmosphere. Noting that he still has opportunities to make strides in his industry, he consistently seeks to improve himself and his work. Looking forward, Mr. Herr intends to experience the continued growth of his career.
