Supported by several decades of professional experience, James W. Ross is a noted expert in the field of engineering. Since 2002, he has served as the corporate metallurgical lab manager at TEAM Industries. In his pronounced role, he maintains responsibility for all corporate metallurgical laboratory management, which includes thermal processing and procedural audits. Additionally, he works with suppliers to ensure all their metallurgical processes are effective, troubleshoots parts to determine issues and provides recommendations on how to remedy problems. Earlier in his career, he worked in the co-op program at his alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, for 18 years.

Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, which he obtained in 1987, Mr. Ross notably earned a Technical Achievement Award from the Dana Corporation in light of his leadership prowess in the engineering industry. He attributes much of his success to the guidance and inspiration of his mentors, who have supported him throughout his career. In this regard, Mr. Ross enjoys paying it forward and imparting knowledge to his colleagues and interns.

Outside of his primary efforts, Mr. Ross has lent his time to athleticism, having served as a coach in basketball, soccer and baseball. Likewise, to remain abreast of developments in his field, he is a member of ASM International (formerly known as the American Society of Materials). Among the highlights of his career, Mr. Ross is gratified by the opportunity presented to him to create a novel auditing process at TEAM Industries, which has been passed down to his colleagues to implement in their work, as well.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Ross aims to ensure that his ideas and progress are sustainable in the long term. Ultimately, he endeavors to continue using and improving his ideas so others can enhance them, even after he has departed from the company. To achieve this objective, he is determined to train as many workers as possible.
