Involved in the real estate industry for nearly 20 years, Shellie Young has served with Sotheby’s International Realty as a global real estate advisor since 2011. With an infectious passion for her work, she leverages her hands-on approach to real estate matters to help buyers and sellers in the housing market. Ms. Young works primarily across the western coast of Florida in Sotheby’s office in Longboat Key, Florida. Impressively, she sold her first $8 million home in 2013 and subsequently closed a $6.7 million deal on Anna Maria Island.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Young served as an associate at Fortune International Realty beginning in 2004, then spent the following two years working with Home and Business Realty, part of The Miami Real Estate Team, between 2009 and 2011. She is certified as a negotiation expert and luxury home marketing specialist. Before embarking on her career in real estate, Ms. Young worked in management in the fields of hospitality and fine dining, as well as owned the Wilder Farm Inn in Vermont, a bed and breakfast that she renovated from a farmhouse dating to 1859. Over the course of her career, she has lived and worked in several prominent regions, including Beverly Hills, California, as well as New York, Miami and Milan, Italy, which has aided her in her expertise in luxury real estate and waterfront properties.

Outside of her primary efforts in real estate, Ms. Young has hosted and produced the Emmy-nominated reality television show “The American Dream” since 2023, whose first episode was shot in February 2023 for the Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy, an equine therapy program for children and adults alike.
