Drawing upon nearly 30 years of professional experience, Eduardo J. Ruiz is a figurehead in the fields of entertainment and media. Since 2003, he has served as the president and general manager of A&E Ole Networks, which is a joint venture between Ole Communications and A+E Networks. These networks are also owned by Hearst Corporation and The Walt Disney Company. In his dual roles, Mr. Ruiz maintains responsibility for overseeing the production and commercialization of several television channels, such as The History Channel, History 2, A&E and Lifetime.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Ruiz served as the president of the international division of The Weather Channel, Inc., from 1996 to 2002. Outside of his primary vocation, he also serves as the treasurer of the Latin America Media Advertising Council, which he notably aided in its establishment in 2002. A member of the International Academy of Arts and Entertainment as well, he previously contributed as a past board member of Promax, an entertainment marketing association.

Over the course of his extensive career, Mr. Ruiz has received a myriad of honors and accolades, such as an International Emmy Award and several Promax Latin America Awards. Attributing much of his current success to the encouragement of his parents, who both valued the importance of a diligent work ethic, he cites his early interest in media as a factor leading to his present executive role. To this end, he interned at a local television station while attending college, thereby piquing his intrigue in the television industry.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Ruiz intends to witness the continued growth of his career, as well as eventually delve into consulting. He would also like to help emerging young leaders find their passions in life and help them pursue those passions as career choices. A native of Puerto Rico, Mr. Ruiz currently resides in Coral Gables, Florida.
