Chinn Chin leverages three decades of professional experience in the fields of computer science and engineering. Since 2007, he has excelled as the chief executive officer of Cidana, a global company that provides multimedia and software solutions for the consumer electronics market. In his executive-level position, Mr. Chin specializes in project management, interactive sales and strategic marketing. Notably, under Mr. Chin’s leadership, Cidana has found much success over the past 15 years, particularly amid the rapidly shifting environment that comes alongside the multimedia industry.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Chin served as a software engineer with Sigma Designs between 1993 and 1995 and was the vice president of engineering for InterVideo, a firm acquired by Corel, from 1998 to 2006. Subsequently, he was promoted to the rank of senior vice president of engineering in 2007 before commencing his current venture. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from National Chiao Tung University and a Master of Science in computer science from California State University, Chico.
Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Chin is especially proud of leading Cidana in its present market, as well as working closely with members of the advocacy organization OpenMedia to further its mission for the next generation of video technology. A designated Microsoft Developer outside of his primary vocation, Mr. Chin is also gratified by the opportunities presented to him to advance Cidana’s brand and mission.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Chin intends to explore new opportunities to expand Cidana into further markets, as well as gain a presence in the aerospace industry and image processing arena. In his spare time, he enjoys such avocational activities as dancing, playing golf, biking and hiking.
