Drawing upon over 10 years of professional experience, Amer Ali Mirza specializes in information technology. Since 2018, he has focused his attention on serving as a Workday professional, specializing in HCM configuration, security, reporting and overall project lead. Through this endeavor, he manages several clients, ensures that the Workday tenant is compliant with all audits, and reassures customers that they can arrive at cost-effective and easy solutions while concurrently maintaining their integrity and security compliance.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mirza served as a web developer and database administrator. Over the course of many years, he leveraged his expertise to excel in such areas as programming, web design, ERP implementations, learning management systems, SAP human resources implementations, Workday implementations and post-production support. To this end, Mr. Mirza has thrived by working alongside several organizations, including global firms, start-up companies and businesses in the finance, oil and gas, food and beverage, and federal industries.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Mirza attended DePaul University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in computer science, with a focus on programming and database design, in 2000. Thereafter, he earned programming certifications from Brainbench, as well as a Google AdWord certification and an IT management certification, among many others. Subsequently, he returned to DePaul University and received a master’s degree in business information systems in 2009. He has also been certified as a Workday implementer since 2014.

Outside of his primary efforts, Mr. Mirza contributes much of his time to the betterment of his community, having served UMMA in Chicago as a computer science teacher and mentor to inner-city students and adults with past legal convictions. Likewise, he has volunteered with many relief organizations to help underprivileged communities, as well as with other social and educational causes.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Mirza would like to witness the continued growth of his career and continue serving as an inspiration to prospective leaders in the technology industry. Furthermore, he aims to continue volunteering in his region for charitable causes.
