Supported by nearly 30 years of professional experience, Stacy Monahan Tucker, Esq., is a leader in the field of insurance. At the inception of her career in 1994, she worked as an analyst for Medimetrix Consulting for two years, followed by an additional two years as a consulting manager in the West Coast Division of HCM (now MedAssets Consulting). After receiving her law degree in 2001, Ms. Tucker served as an attorney for Jones Day until 2006 and for Quinn, Emanual, Urquhart & Sullivan LLP from 2006 to 2008. Following this tenure, she was a managing partner in the Seattle office of Ropers Majeski from 2009 to 2019 and a partner at Kantor & Kantor LLP from 2020 to 2023. Beginning in July 2023, Ms. Tucker will serve as a founding partner of the eponymous Monahan Tucker Law, P.C.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Tucker has represented insurers in litigation and holds several decades of experience in disability insurance, life insurance and property insurance coverage issues. She says that, following her work in some of the top white shoe defense law firms in the country, she desired to leverage her knowledge of insurance to help policyholders in life, long-term care, disability litigation and catastrophic property claims. Since she began representing policyholders, Ms. Tucker has earned tens of millions of dollars in settlement awards for her diverse clientele.

Admitted to practice law in the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada, Ms. Tucker holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Chicago Law School, which she obtained in 2001. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology from the University of Chicago in 1994. To remain abreast of developments in her field, she was named a secretary of the ERISA Benefits Litigation Group through the American Association of Justice in 2022. She is also affiliated with the American Bar Association, the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Association, the Northwest Insurance Coverage Association, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, among several other organizations.

In light of her outstanding achievements, Ms. Tucker holds a 10.0 rating through AVVO and received an AV Preeminent Rating through Martindale-Hubbell in 2016, which she maintains today. In 2022, she was named among the Best Lawyers by U.S. News & World Report. Most recently, in 2023, she was recognized among the Top 25 Attorneys in Washington by Attorney Intel.
