Distinguished in the field of ministerial services, Pastor Richard D. Tatham has excelled as the pastor of the Stonebridge Christian Fellowship in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, for over five decades. Overseeing the ministry as the longest-serving minister in the city’s existence, Pastor Tatham has preached the gospel since 1969. His additional responsibilities include offering guidance, mentoring and counseling to his parishioners, as well as assisting community members who are enduring life struggles, such as grief and illness.
Pastor Tatham initially began his career as a youth preacher in Portland, Oregon, for one year before serving as a pastor for a local church. Thereafter, he served as a pastor for a church in Fresno, California, as well as in Idaho. At the request of the Assemblies of God, Pastor Tatham relocated to Arizona, where he continued to exert a significant influence on parishioners throughout the state. Outside of his primary career, he also formed the London Bridge Christian Churches in 1971, which was the very first social outreach in the area to provide food, blankets and necessary resources to underserved communities. Likewise, Pastor Tatham was one of the first two chaplains to become a jail chaplain at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Furthermore, Pastor Tatham has lent his expertise to Christian media, having founded the first Christian television studio and Christian radio station in his region. Currently, the ministry has grown into a profound network across five U.S. states called “Your Celebration Radio Network” and has been on the air for 40 years. His daughter, Debbie Eckelbarger, hosts one of the radio shows titled “TreeHouse One,” and the radio network is managed by his son-in-law, Faron Eckelbarger.
In light of his outstanding feats, Pastor Tatham was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of Lake Havasu in 2019, celebrating his five decades of service in the ministry. Furthermore, he was featured in the Lake Havasu City newspaper, Today’s News-Herald, in 2019.
