A noted specialist in the field of investments, Jerry Axelrod has accrued over four decades of expertise in his chosen industry. Since 2011, he has served as a managing director at Stark Capital Management in Houston, Texas, through which he is responsible for advising high net-worth clients and institutions on the selling and buying process in today’s present market.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Axelrod excelled in a myriad of prominent roles, including as a managing director for Burnham Securities, Inc., from 2010 to 2011 and the senior vice president of the Institutional Investor Group for Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney from 2001 to 2009. Likewise, he was the senior vice president at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1990 to 2001 and the vice president of Drexel Burnham from 1980 to 1990. Before commencing his career, Mr. Axelrod received a Bachelor of Arts in social relations, graduating cum laude from Harvard College in 1963.

Outside his primary career efforts, Mr. Axelrod dedicates himself civically to his community. He is a founding board member of both the Houston Children’s Museum and Orchestra X and an advisory board member of Interfaith Ministries. He has also held the title of former board member of Bennington College, former chairman of the Southwest Region of the Anti-Defamation League and former board member of the Jung Education Center.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Axelrod was recognized as an Outstanding Broker by Registered Representative Magazine in 1984. He attributes much of his success to his persistence in his profession and his innate understanding of all his clients’ needs. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue growing Stark Capital Management and helping his clients withstand the struggles of buying and selling in the state of the current market.
