Drawing upon over six decades of professional experience in the field of law, Jay H. Tanenbaum, Esq., has excelled in private practice as a lawyer with The Law Offices of Jay H. Tanenbaum since 1964. Located in New York City, Mr. Tanenbaum and his firm specialize in litigation, as well as all types of personal injury law. Earlier in his career, he served Associated Metals and Minerals Corporation in New York City as an international trader between 1960 and 1964. He has also been a corporate counsel for the International Gate Corporation and General Gate Corporation.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Tanenbaum pursued a formal education at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1954. He subsequently received a Bachelor of Laws from the Albany Law School in 1957 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Union College in 1961. Mr. Tanenbaum has been admitted to practice law in the State of New York, as well as before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Tanenbaum remains abreast of developments in his field by affiliation with several organizations, including the New York State Bar Association and the New York Trial Lawyers Association. Likewise, he is a member of the Bronx County Bar Association. Civically involved as well, he is a member of the St. James Hotel and Club and Le Club of New York.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Tanenbaum has been bestowed with numerous accolades. Named to knighthood by His Royal Highness the Prince of Cittanova and His Royal Highness the Prince of Trabzon in 2001, he was also highlighted in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World. Looking toward the future, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
