Driven by her desire to help others and care for individuals undergoing medical situations, Lillian Joy Adams has excelled as a registered nurse for over 20 years. Among the many highlights of her career, she has been especially gratified by the opportunities to become acquainted with a myriad of patients, as well as establish excellent relationships with them even after they have been discharged from medical services.
After receiving her certification as a registered nurse in 1999, Ms. Adams began serving as a registered nurse at the El Centro Regional Medical Center before joining the Lompoc Valley Medical Center in 2004. Serving the California-based institution until 2017, she subsequently served in the same capacity at Global Personnel Pool, Inc., in Ventura, California, between 2017 and 2018. Since 2018, she has excelled as a registered nurse for Maxim Healthcare in San Luis Obispo, California. Since commencing her career, Ms. Adams has been certified in basic life support.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Adams pursued a formal education at Antelope Valley College, receiving an Associate of Arts in liberal arts and general studies in 1995. She then received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Imperial Valley College in 1998. After accruing many years of experience, she returned to higher education and obtained a Bachelor of Science in business management from DeVry University in 2021. Currently, Ms. Adams is pursuing a master’s degree.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Adams was named Employee of the Quarter by Maxim Healthcare on two separate occasions in 2020 and 2021. Although she has accomplished much over the course of her career, she is especially proud of making a difference in her patients’ lives in the field of nursing. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue serving as a registered nurse in home health care and advance in her career.
