Established in Southern California, the Law Offices of Michael J. Eyre specializes in various aspects of business and real estate litigation and personal injury law. In conjunction with his primary vocation, Mr. Eyre serves as a temporary judge in Los Angeles County and has taught as an adjunct professor at numerous universities on such subject areas as torts, contracts, and litigation procedures and practice.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Eyre served as an associate attorney at numerous firms, such as the Law Office of Rice & Rothenberg; Hollins, Schechter, Feinstein & Condas; Veatch, Carlson, Grogan & Nelson; and Cone, Chairez & Kassel. He commenced his career in 1988 as an associate attorney with Kaiser, DeBiaso, Palmer & Lopez. Outside of his work in law, Mr. Eyre has been a volunteer and instructor for the Shortstop Program with the Long Beach Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the advisory board in the paralegal department of Mt. San Antonio College. He is also affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Eyre received a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of California Irvine in 1982, followed by postbaccalaureate studies in political science at California State University, Long Beach. He completed his education in 1987, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Western State University College of Law. Thereafter, Mr. Eyre was admitted to the State Bar of California and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Decorated with a myriad of accolades, Mr. Eyre received the Silver Client Champion Award from Martindale-Hubbell in 2017, who also honored him with an AV Preeminent Rating from 2011 to 2015. Also holding a 10.0 Superb Rating through Avvo, Inc., he was recognized among the Top Temporary Judges in the Superior Court of California by Los Angeles County from 2014 to 2018 and a Southern California Top Attorney by Super Lawyers from 2013 to 2016. Furthermore, Mr. Eyre received several Client Distinction Awards from Martindale-Hubbell between 2013 and 2016, was honored as an AV Preeminent Attorney by Lawyers.com from 2011 to 2017 and was coined an AV Distinguished Attorney by the American Registry in 2010. He was highlighted in the 71st edition of Who’s Who in America in 2018.
