Supported by more than 45 years of eminent experience in legal practice, Philip Alan Greenberg, Esq., is a distinguished family attorney who has been working out of his own private practice in New York City since the turn of the century. Representing high-profile clients throughout the states of New York and New Jersey, he specializes in a wide variety of family law matters, including divorce, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, property division, child custody and visitation, child support, paternity and same-sex partnership dissolutions. Additionally serving clients in business litigation, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and civil litigation, Mr. Greenberg has garnered a laudable reputation in the field.

Prior to founding his practice, Mr. Greenberg served as a partner of myriad law firms throughout New York, such as Segal, Liling, Erlitz & Greenberg; Segal, Liling & Greenberg; Segal & Greenberg; and Wallman, Greenberg, Gasman & McKnight. He has also been a managing partner of Segal, Post, DeMott & Crow; Segal, Greenberg, McDonald & Maher; Segal, Greenberg & McDonald; Segal & Greenberg; and Bizar & Martin. At the inception of his career in 1973, he served as an associate turned partner with Kamerman & Kamerman.

Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts in political science and sociology, cum laude, from Brooklyn College, Mr. Greenberg received his JD from the New York University Law School in 1973. Admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, he has held an AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell since 1985. Notably, he was named a Super Lawyer from 2009 to 2011 and has appeared on television in light of his legal expertise.

Congruent to his primary legal endeavors, Mr. Greenberg has been a lecturer at the National Business Institute since 2010 and was a lecturer at the Sobelsohn Paralegal School from 1988 to 2000. He was also a trustee for Congregation Emunath Israel from 1984 to 1999. Maintaining affiliation with the American, New York and New York City Bar Associations, he was president and secretary of the Masters and Wardens Association between 2000 and 2005.

Demonstrating versatility in his field, Mr. Greenberg is the noteworthy co-author of “Divorce Insights: Conversations with America’s Leading Divorce Professionals,” published in 2019.
