Potts, Deborah 3676395_4003676395 Newsletter.jpg

Inspired by a desire to give back, Deborah Reese Potts has always taken education seriously in her work. She attributes her success to her parents, who set a lasting example by working toward a mission bigger than themselves. She mostly respected that her parents worked their way through college on their own. In 1975, she received a Master of Science in educational counseling from Baylor University. With an expertise in adolescent guidance and counseling, she became a mental health therapist at Baylor Scott & White Health, a hospital in Texas. Throughout her career, Ms. Potts has also been associated with Fournier & Potts Counseling Inc. and the Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children Inc. In 2010, she established Deborah “Debbie” Reese Potts Counseling and Consulting Inc. in Belton, TX. Through her counseling and consulting service, she is able to match clients with a specialist. In her position, she has enjoyed hearing back from individuals who are doing well and following their dreams after seeking her services.

In addition to her work in mental health therapy and counseling, Ms. Potts has also authored several children’s books. In 2009, she authored “Ocean Surprises” with Connie Cutcher Weeks as the illustrator. She also authored “Three Forks.” In her spare time outside of work, she enjoys traveling and taking care of grandchildren.
