As a dedicated educator for more than 40 years, Jean Brannon taught history and nursing simultaneously. With a master’s degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut, she excelled at motivating her students. She began her career as an instructor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1974 to 1978. She then served as a professor in the Alamo Colleges District for nearly 30 years from 1980 to 2007. During this time, Ms. Brannon also served as an education consultant in her field and she received patents for the Sa-Mitch patient hospital gown.
After her career in nursing, Ms. Brannon retired to care for her sick mother. Shortly after this, she ventured into real estate. As a successful real estate broker, she owns her own company—Brannon Properties, LLC—where she manages commercial, residential, and farm properties. Operating in San Antonio, TX, Brannon Properties offers a variety of services including buying and selling properties, helping clients to secure financing, and arranging inspections, appraisals, and home warranties.
In addition to her varied career, Ms. Brannon has also done stand-up comedy and she enjoys writing. In her spare time outside of work, she enjoys dancing, listening to music, and traveling. Looking toward the future, she plans to continue her real estate work with Brannon Properties and would like to write a book soon.
