With more than 40 years of professional excellence to his name, Frank Allen Bernatowicz has been serving as founder and managing principal of FAB Group, Inc. since 2007. An esteemed figure in his field, he previously served in similar capacities with Huron Consulting from 2006 to 2007, FAB Advisory Services from 2003 to 2006, BDO Seidman from 2001 to 2003, PriceWaterhouseCoopers from 1999 to 2001, and Jay Alix & Associates from 1996 to 1999. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bernatowicz was employed with Ernst & Young from 1985-1996, and as an engineer with the Commonwealth Edison Company from 1976 to 1984.
A speaker in his field, Mr. Bernatowicz prepared for his distinguished career by first obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1976. Altering his path, he subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Loyola University Chicago in 1981, completing his education with postgraduate coursework in accounting with the same academic institution from 1982 to 1984. He has since become a registered professional engineer and certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Bernatowicz has served his community in a number of civic engagements, including being on the board of regents for the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls since 1990. In addition, he held the role of board director for the John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois, as well as board director and treasurer for the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.
Married to Kathleen Ann Carlson since 1978, Mr. Bernatowicz is the proud father of two children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and racquetball, as well as lending his time to computers and investments.
