A highly acclaimed child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Southeastern region of the United States, Dr. Pedro A. Munera has been the owner and operator of Meridian Children’s Clinic since 2009, as well as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Miss., since 2003. Previously, he worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for Weems Community Mental Health Center in Meridian, Miss., in 2003. Dr. Munera has accrued more than 20 years of professional experience in his industry, a testament to his profound expertise in the field.
A diplomate of psychiatry and adolescent psychiatry certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Munera earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain in 1994. He subsequently completed a residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, as well as a fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Since then, he has showcased his passion for aiding young patients through his work, treating each child with the utmost care and compassion.

The son of Pedro Munera and Dolores Cordoba, Dr. Munera was born in Granollers, Spain, in 1970. He has been happily married to his wife Sherry Lynn Rowlett since 2003. In his spare time, Dr. Munera enjoys reading and traveling.
