With approximately 20 years of experience in the field of medicine, Michael Bogdan, MD, presently works in a private practice, specializing in plastic surgery since 2008. Previously, he served as a cosmetic surgeon at Southlake Plastic Surgery in Texas from 2007 to 2008, and Napa Valley Plastic Surgery, Inc., in California from 2005 to 2007.
In preparation for his successful career, Dr. Bogdan first earned a Bachelor of Science in zoology and a second Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1993. He followed these accomplishments with a Doctor of Medicine from Stanford University in 1998. He has since served as an intern in general surgery with Stanford Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, from 1998 to 1999; a resident in plastic surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center from 1999 to 2003; a chief resident in plastic surgery with Stanford Medicine from 2003 to 2004; and a fellow in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital from 2004 to 2005. Most recently, Dr. Bogdan earned a Master of Business Administration from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 2016.
Subsequent to obtaining his impressive degrees, Dr. Bogdan was licensed to practice medicine in the states of California and Texas. In addition, he became a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2006. He is further certified by the Board of Medical Examiners in Colorado. On the board of directors of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery since 2016, Dr. Bogdan is additionally on the board of directors of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation.
A contributor of articles to professional journals and presentations, Dr. Bogdan is the acclaimed author of “Advances in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.” He has been married to Isidra Veve since 1999, with whom he shares two children.
