With two decades of professional experience in the legal industry, Mona Edney Leipold is an accomplished attorney, specializing in the areas of real estate, juvenile law, criminal law and family law. Presently a staff attorney with the Onslow County Department of Social Services in Jacksonville, N.C., since 2015, Ms. Leipold was formerly the chief executive manager and an attorney with Burke Law Office, PLLC, and a senior attorney with the Law Office of Dache & Burke, PA. In addition to her time spent as an esteemed lawyer, Ms. Leipold also lent her expertise as a part-time professor at Fayetteville Technical Community College from 2000 to 2001.
To prepare for her illustrious career, Ms. Leipold first earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. She furthered her education by obtaining a Doctor of Jurisprudence, with honors, from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 1998. She has been admitted to practice law by the Bar of North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
In recognition of her exemplary success as an attorney, Ms. Leipold has been listed in several editions of Marquis Who’s Who in America. Additionally, she has been presented with a 4.5 rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Looking toward the future, Ms. Leipold aspires to continue making strides with the Onslow County Department of Social Services.
