Dr. Robert F. Hawke is an experienced and highly regarded general dentist who, for more than 30 years, has treated and diagnosed dental problems using the most advanced technologies and tools available. Coming from a family of physicians, a young Dr. Hawke always aspired to be a dentist and was encouraged to pursue his dreams. He built the foundation for his distinguished profession by earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona in 1969 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor University in 1973. He has been in private practice in Tucson, Ariz., since 1987, and was previously a partner with Barber-Hawke and an associate with B.J. Barber. Dr. Hawke and his staff provide comprehensive checkup and cleaning, advanced bridgework, high-quality cosmetic dentistry, state-of-the-art laser gum disease, and dental implants.
A recipient of the 1989 Pierre Fauchard Academy Award — awarded to distinguished members of the dentistry profession — Dr. Hawke has held a multitude of notable roles with the Southern Arizona Dental Society (SADS), Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) and American Dental Association (ADA). He was president of SADS from 1987 to 1988, as well as president of AzDA from 1993 to 1994. Additionally, from 1994 to 1999, Dr. Hawke served as Delegate to the American Dental Association for the State of Arizona. He has contributed to his community as president of the Community Auto Immune Deficiency Syndrome Advisory Council, and was a member of the Auto Immune Deficiency Syndrome Education Project in the Tucson area.
In recognition of his achievements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Hawke received the Service Award from AzDA, and was featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
