In March 1966, Dr. Park walked into his first biology class and saw the skeleton of a man named Mr. Adams hanging on the wall. Mr. Adams was a missionary of the Northern Presbyterian Church of the United States and the founder of the Kei Sung Junior High School. He donated his body so that future students of the school could study his anatomy. This deeply moved Dr. Park; he decided to dedicate his life to helping others, the same way Mr. Adams did. As a result, he became a pastor and a professor of missiology. Since 2009, he has worked as a professor at Sung Kyul University. Additionally, he has served as a senior pastor for the Juheung Full Gospel Church since 1999. From 2002 to 2013, Dr. Park was a chaplain of the Blue House. Prior to that role, he served as a special agent for the United States Law Enforcement Agency for 13 years.

A former Major of the Korean Army, Dr. Park has been helping people live better lives since 1974. He received a Ph.D. in theology from Sung Kyul Graduate School in 2012. Recognized for his hard work, dedication and significant industry contributions, Dr. Park received the Best Master’s Paper Award from the National University Council in 1998, as well as a certificate of appreciation from the Philippine Red Cross in 2016.

Since 2000, Dr. Park and his church have dispatched a missionary, Joshua Yoonsoo Cho, to build one general hospital in Capas City, Philippines. In addition, Mr. Cho has been tasked with building one high school, one elementary school, one municipal library, four public health centers and 355 houses in the aboriginal and typhoon-affected areas. This is being done with the help of both non-government and government agencies, as well as Asiana Airlines. For seven years, the general hospital has been treating 5,000 aboriginal people, free-of-charge, with the help of KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency). Over the past eight years, they have completed 1,100 cataract surgeries with the help of a single physician. Additionally, the church has awarded 50 scholarships to students and regularly holds concerts for aboriginal youths.
