Since 2022, he has served as a partner at the international law firm of Alston & Bird LLP in New York City, where he focuses his attention on bankruptcy restructuring and finance, corporate debt finance and private credit. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wise served as an associate attorney with Weil Gotshal and Manges LLP in New York City from 1998 to 2004. He subsequently served as a partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in 2007 and 2008. Between 2008 and 2022, he thrived as a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in New York City, where he contributed to the law firm’s success in bankruptcy restructuring. Over the course of his longstanding career, Mr. Wise has valued his work in bankruptcy restructuring and finance, noting that every situation is unique and offers ample opportunities to counsel clients on an individualized basis. To prepare for his career, Mr. Wise pursued an education at Claremont McKenna College, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in government in 1991.
