Dr. Irene Hanchett Grant is a physician and health executive with more than 30 years of medical experience in hospital care, academia and clinical research. A diplomate with the American Board of Infectious Diseases, as well as with the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hanchett Grant has researched and treated patients with mold exposure, HIV/AIDS and other infectious complications. To prepare for her profession, Dr. Hanchett Grant earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. She then undertook postgraduate courses at New York City’s Columbia University and subsequently matriculated at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where she received a Doctor of Medicine in 1982. After an internship and residency at Montefiore Medical Center from 1982 to 1985, Dr. Hanchett Grant was offered a fellowship through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Since 2003, Dr. Hanchett Grant has held dual roles; she has been the president of Grant
Manufacturing Corporation in Vanderbilt, Mich., and also a clinical assistant professor at New York Medical College. Prior to stepping into the professorship position, she served as president of Minwendam Foundation. Today, she continues to serve as the executive director of Integrative Medicine Group in Tarrytown, N.Y. Other notable assignments Dr. Hanchett Grant has held include infectious disease specialist and associate director of the AIDS Program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, and president of Grant Airmass Corporation in Stamford, Conn.

A recipient of the 1985 Outstanding Medical Resident Award from Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Hanchett Grant has also been listed in industry-related publications such as “Leading Physician of the World” and “Doctors of Excellence,” and recognized as a Top Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease Specialist by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals. Certified in acupuncture through New York Medical College, Dr. Hanchett Grant is associated with the New York State Acupuncture board and was recently awarded with a Certificate of Achievement and Appreciation for Meritorious and Dedicated Service from the NYS Education Department Office of the Professions State Board for Acupuncture. Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Oriental Medicine, the American College of Nutrition, the International AIDS Society and the Infectious Disease Society of America, among several others.
