
John Lantz is an award-winning web designer and entrepreneur with 15 years of professional experience. Since 2013, he has thrived as the senior web designer and user experience (UX) advisor at Curran & Connors, where he has demonstrated expertise in collaborative design processes and client communication. As part of his routine tasks, Mr. Lantz delves into comprehensive, hands-on creative work for colleagues and clients and manages live design sessions, integrating client feedback in real time. He also participates in user testing, builds wireframes and develops functional prototypes, among other responsibilities.
Alongside his innovative work at Curran & Connors, Mr. Lantz is the owner of JBL Graphics LLC, where he has been providing freelance design services since 2011. During his tenure, he has honed his web design skills and leveraged modern tools to streamline workflows. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lantz served as a web designer at Maxburst Inc. from 2012 to 2013, where he contributed to web projects that formally introduced him to the professional sphere. He commenced his career in 2011 as a student at Briarcliffe College, where he interned in the design department.
Mr. Lantz holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Briarcliffe College, which he earned in 2012. He also possesses numerous certifications to advance his studies and understanding of web design and UX services, including Design Reporting: Workiva, a Design Platform and Design Reporting: Using Workiva and InDesign from Workiva in 2022.
Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Lantz is a past volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk County and has been engaged in clothing and book donation efforts. Among the several milestones of his career, he is particularly proud of cultivating strong communication skills through direct client interaction, having come from a formative vocational background with limited client contact. Considering this feat as one of his most meaningful achievements, Mr. Lantz has since become a confident speaker, placing value on open communication.
Looking ahead, Mr. Lantz intends to continue honing his design and communication skills to further his professional development. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing PC games.
