A rising leader in the field of health care, Dr. Jade A. Husby is well-regarded for her expertise in audiology and communication disorders. Since 2023, she has thrived as the owner and president of Stanford Hearing Aids, a hearing aid and assistive listening technologies company that was initially established in 1983. Dr. Husby first joined the staff of Stanford Hearing Aids in 2021 as a doctor of audiology. After two years, she assumed ownership of the prominent company.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Husby served as an audiologist at Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat from 2020 to 2021. She was also an audiology resident at Foothills ENT between 2019 and 2020. While studying toward her academic degrees, she worked at the University of South Dakota, having been recognized as a graduate research assistant at the Sanford School of Medicine between 2016 and 2017 and a graduate assistant in the university’s graduate school between 2018 and 2019. Dr. Husby also excels as an adjunct professor at Augustana University.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Husby sought a formal education at the University of South Dakota. In 2016, she received a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders and psychology. Subsequently, she attained a Doctor of Audiology in 2020. The same year, Dr. Husby received a CCC-A certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Elected a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology in 2021, Dr. Husby has always possessed a strong desire to work in the medical profession. As such, while studying toward her undergraduate degree, she was provided an opportunity to liaise with a professional audiologist who exhibited an incredible passion for the field. Wishing to emulate the audiologist’s passion and dedication, Dr. Husby majored in communication and speech disorders and soon discovered her own fervor for the industry. She attributes a great deal of her success to her determination to keep moving forward.
Among the many highlights of her career, Dr. Husby is particularly proud of maintaining a successful business while seeing patients on a full-time basis. Looking toward the future, she aims to continue growing her database of patients at Stanford Hearing Aids and raise awareness of the field of audiology.
